The Banco Central de Sao Tome e Principe has
announced 6 new banknotes that will be issued from 1 January 2018. The
banknotes are of 5-, 10-, 20-, 50-, 100- and 200- Dobras. The banknotes will have a re-denomination with 3 zeros removed from the current series.
All banknotes
have been designed and produced by De la Rue. The new
notes celebrate wildlife endemic São Tomé e Príncipe, and include innovative
features to make them secure against counterfeiting.
